Tom & Ellie’s fun filled London wedding at Asylum Chapel & Brunswick House.
Tom and Ellie’s London wedding in March was the perfect blend of relaxed city vibes and fun party celebrations at two incredible venues. The Asylum Chapel and Brunswick House are two iconic London wedding venues that are full of character, they create a day that is balanced with historic beauty and modern style which makes the day flow so well.
Located in Peckham, The Asylum Chapel is one of the most unique wedding venues in London. Its beautifully weathered walls, original features, and incredible natural light make it an absolute dream to photograph. Every corner of the chapel tells a story, creating an atmosphere that simply can't be replicated anywhere else. March also had some beautiful soft light that filtered through the chapel windows that made it look so pretty.
After the ceremony following confetti and family photos, they had a drinks reception that included empanadas from a family recipe. Everyone had a little mingle ahead of all the guests jumping on two London routemasters to travel across to the reception venue at Brunswick house.
Brunswick House was such a fabulous second venue, it combines Georgian elegance with eclectic interiors and antique furnishings that follow through each floor of the building. As it had different floors, it was perfect for different parts of the day. A welcome drinks reception on the ground floor followed by the wedding breakfast upstairs and ending the night with the party in the basement.
One of my favourite parts of Tom and Ellie's wedding was photographing on both digital and 35mm film.
Digital photography allows me to document every fleeting moment with speed and precision, ensuring nothing is missed. Alongside this, shooting on 35mm film adds a nostalgic quality that perfectly complements both of these unique London venues.
Film has a softness and authenticity that feels incredibly special. The subtle grain, beautiful colours, and slower, more intentional approach create photographs with a nostalgic feel that I just love. Blending digital and film allows me to tell the complete story of a wedding day while offering the best of both worlds!
If you're planning your own wedding in London and are looking for a London wedding photographer who captures natural, relaxed moments with a blend of digital and 35mm film photography, I'd love to hear from you.
Whether you're getting married at The Asylum Chapel, Brunswick House, or another incredible London venue, my approach is always centred around telling your story honestly and creating timeless photographs you'll treasure for years to come.
